[lang_en]From testing exhibitions “with no fixed abode” we have created the idea of making the cultural nomadism a strength, a sort of  “mobile and elastic” gallery, as a mirror image of the galleries deep-rooted in their areas and located in the city centers, but not less important. We would like to create “equal opportunities” for those young people “far from everything and thirsty of everything”, getting preeminent voices of the contemporary art across to them.
100%PERIFERIA A nomadic museum, wandering as a vocation towards the so-called “not-places”, with the purpose of meeting the curious and receptive look so that the power of a sign, caught in a box, can arrive to a deep silent conversation between an artist and a kid.

Our project pursues the common aim of social worthiness, without a business nature. It has not any profit purpose.
It consists in delivering a box to high caliber artists, active in the national and international contemporary scenario.
The boxes are empty. Their dimensions (30×30x5cm) remind the shape of a square – a geometric figure universally employed in the language of the symbols, platonically considered “absolutely beautiful in themselves” together with the circle. The boxes are white – the colour corresponding to the absolute silence, a symbol of a without-material-world. They will be delivered through ordinary mail, receiving postmarks and stamps outside on their surface in order to document the route covered by each of them, while the box opens itself to collect the participation of the artist inside.
As a miniature Museum, the box – the “nomadic square” – becomes sometimes a feminine symbol, representation of the unconscious and the maternal body, a container that encloses and isolates what it is precious from the world, a Pandora’s vase containing and then emitting all evils, a collector of visible ideas or barred from the normal retinal experience, an unfillable empty. From the strong symbolic power, the box assumes meanings and signifiers: black box that records and protects, brain-box, product to be consumed as canned food, incredible “Chinese boxes” (with a pyramid structure), precious time keeper box, scenic box, borderline space between “being and seeming”, “form and substance”, “surface and depth”, “skin and innerness”, “visible and invisible”, “inside and outside”.
And it is with the action of  “opening” that the willingness of showing, making visible and bringing into the world is realized. Associated to the idea of the gift, of the amazement, of wondering, of surprise, the action of opening shows “minimum evocative ability and maximum opacity”, in which everything is possible and the illusory and visionary power of the art breaks in.
Our purpose is to provoke “reactions” that give a positive sense of  belonging back to the place. Participating to the described initiative, the artist will help us to go ahead with our project. Any kind of work, even the deliver of the empty box to the sender, can support us in spreading that quality process that only the love for culture can produce.[/lang_en]
